국가무형문화재 옻칠장 박강용 장인의 면기 시리즈. 수십 번의 옻칠과 건조를 반복해 얻은 깊은 색층 위로 나뭇결이 은은히 떠오른다. 오래된 기법이 오늘의 색으로 다시 태어나, 일상의 그릇을 하나의 조형으로 끌어올린다.

A bowl series by master lacquer artisan Park Kang-yong, holder of Korea's intangible cultural heritage in ottchil. Dozens of layers of lacquer, each patiently dried, build a depth of color through which the grain of the wood quietly surfaces. An age-old craft reborn in contemporary hues, elevating an everyday vessel into sculpture.
